..driving to work this morning..i was listening to Otis Redding.

my advice to everyone:

download, buy, whatever any album featuring "For Your Precious Love" on it.

why? because it is one of the greatest songs ever recorded.

im not saying this because i absolutely LOVE otis, and im not saying this because i like this song.

im saying this because that song is brilliant:

that song features one of my favorite guitar riffs of all time. when it finally kicks in, you can tell that the guitarist was actually FEELING the song. it has this weeping sound to it. its amazing.

its so full of emotion!

the drums, when they finally kick in at around 2:22, its phenomenal. simple, yet so full of rhythm. and then the song ends like twenty seconds after that..its short, but its perfect!

i think it is seriously one of the greatest songs ever recorded!

now i have to watch the Monterey Pop Festival performance again...
