the snow melted. i missed two days of work thanks to the ice that covered the ground. today will be my first day back.

ive been seeing poetry every time i close my eyes. ive had dreams of open roads. ive missed the taste of rum. ive thought about the West. ive thought about right here. ive thought about the things that should be discussed, but arent.

mostly-ive just thought about him. and how it cant work this way. but how it must because theres no other choice.

there is no other way.
