i am absolutely sickened at the moment -

the news is on, by accident, and a mother was talking over the phone

about the loss of her son ..

she was crying, saying that technology is great to an extent..

but to the mothers and wives out there, seeing helicopters

and news footage, it is murder.

i nearly started crying myself - for the fact that this war is so

glorified by everyone.... it makes my stomach turn.

the news reporter just responded to this woman by saying "message recieved".

i am tired of the media-driven-war-slogans...catch phrases for war. im

sick of them.

when i wrote the above - i left it as is..and planned on posting it as soon as diaryland was

up & working again.

in the meantime, i went to get a bite to eat..

the guy at the window said "hey..."

& i responded with "whats going on..?"

& he said "thats a good question!"

i sort of smiled and then he started singing Marvin's 'Whats Going On'

then he cut it short & said "sorry--they told me to leave my policital views

at home.."

i said "oh, thats quite alright by me."

he made sure i had my lemonade and said "have a peaceful evening!"

...
